Hello Killarney Beach Community Members and Families,
This year as we enter the winter season, we will be organizing a Community Drive. Donations from this event will help to ensure that every family has the opportunity to enjoy various meals and participate in joyful celebrations however that looks for each family. We would like to invite you to help make this Drive a success, whether through contributions or spreading the word.
The Drive will begin Tuesday, November 19th and will continue until Thursday, December 12th. Posters will be hung around the school, as well as at the doors and within the school office area. Items will be picked up on Friday, December 13th.
Here are a few ways to participate:
1. Food Donations: Non-perishable items such as canned goods, rice, stuffing, pasta, lentils, sauces, spreads, cereals, juices, broths and other pantry staples are truly appreciated. (Can-Openers would also be of a beneficial donation)
2. Toy Donations: New, unwrapped toys for children of all ages will be accepted.
3. Hygiene Donations: toothpaste, toothbrushes, chapstick, shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, feminine products, laundry detergent, wipes, soap
4. Warm Winter Clothing Donations: Hats, mitts, scarves, socks
5. Gift Card Contributions: If you prefer, gift cards can help to fill in any gaps and provide essential support to families.
We understand that every household has different circumstances and contributions are voluntary. Whether you choose to give or simply share this message, your support in any form strengthens our community and is appreciated by all.

If anyone is in need of new (bigger) winter clothing for their child, please stop by our winter clothing exchange to see if there are any items that could be of benefit to you. You don’t have to have to bring something to exchange. These clothing items are available to whoever needs them.
